children'S ear piercing (5-12 years)

The parent/legal guardian must provide a government issued form of photo identification (license/photo card/passport) 

AND

A medicare/concession/health care card with both their name and the child’s name on it as proof of guardianship.

This is a legal requirement and applies all across NSW.

WE CURRENTLY DO NOT PERFORM EAR PIERCINGS ON CHILDREN UNDER 5 YEARS OF AGE.

As we only use needles to pierce with, this policy has been created for the safety of both the piercer and the client.

Every piercer has the right to choose which piercings they will and will not perform. 

• We strongly recommend waiting to have a child’s ears pierced until the child asks for it themself and can understand and follow the aftercare instructions. This results in a far superior piercing experience and healing process for everyone.
• We require parents to apply numbing cream to the child’s ears for a minimum of 1 hour prior to the appointment (following advice from the pharmacist and numbing cream manufacturers instructions).
• Needle piercings will not be performed on children under 13 years of age without this step being adhered to, regardless of how you think your child will handle the procedure.
• If a child has stated they don’t want the piercing to be performed or has been evaluated as not being able to safely sit still for the procedure at any point during the appointment - no piercings will be performed. 
• This decision can be made by the Piercer at ANY time during the entire piercing process.
